The photo is where everything starts — and a great one makes all the difference in what you receive. Here is what works best: Natural light — outdoors or near a bright window. Skip artificial indoor lighting. Eye level — crouch down and get on their level. Eye-contact shots always come out stronger. Close up — we want to see their face, their eyes, their expression. The closer the better. Sitting or standing — lying-down photos are the hardest to work from. No filters — a clean unedited photo gives us the most to work with. Still unsure if your photo works?
